Ryan Allen Sheckler (born December 30, 1989) is an American professional skateboarder and the star of the MTV reality show, Life of Ryan. Sheckler was born in San Clemente, California, the son of Gretchen (née Walsh), who manages his career, and Randall Sheckler, a mechanical engineer. He has two younger brothers, Shane and Kane Sheckler. At an age of eighteen months, he began skateboarding and turned pro at thirteen. Sheckler is currently on tour making a few appearances nationwide for Journey's Backyard Barbecue (2009). In May 2009, Sheckler launched his new clothing line, RS, that is sold at J.C. Penney stores nationwide. In 2008, the Sheckler Foundation was created to help the less fortunate, and also to donate to injured and recovering athletes.
